New York City X is a scenery of New York metropolitan area in the United States of America. This scenery is one of the most complex add-ons for flight simulators, featuring 2500 sq km of high resolution terrain with autogen and over 6300 custom-made New York buildings. This product is compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator X (FSX) and Lockheed Martin Prepar3D (P3D). New York is the most populous city in the United States and the center of the New York Metropolitan Area, one of the most populous urban agglomerations in the world.
The city is referred to as New York City or the City of New York to distinguish it from the State of New York, of which it is a part. A global power city, New York exerts a significant impact upon commerce, finance, media, art, fashion, research, technology, education, and entertainment. The home of the United Nations Headquarters, New York is an important center for international diplomacy and has been described as the cultural capital of the world. New in v2.0:. All 6000+ buildings optimized and retextured.
Almost half a thousand buildings done completely from scratch, including several bridges. Completely new night textures created for all buildings and all ground textures. Very high resolution (5m) mesh provided. FPS increased by 100%. VAS usage optimized and Lite Texture Packs provided for various scenery elements.
Ground textures and autogen fixes Installation:. Simply execute the installer.
The scenery will be automatically added to the Flight Simulator Scenery Library. Our installer provides you additional optional features during install. To select different options or different sims, simply run the installer again. I run this in P3DV4.2 on a 4K i7700K GTX1080 setup. It's buttery smooth. I was not always a fan of DD.
I had an old Miami that never worked in FS9 but this is totally in the other direction. I flew in from KALB and first noticed the very detailed 5M mesh somewhere up the Hudson.not a single drop in FPS and that applied right into Manahattan. If you have a high end system it's a no brainer. Anything lower in the food chain and you might have to look at your config.
A totally immersive NYC. I'll now consider the airports add-on. It's interesting that most of the comments here are from P3D users. In FSX this product doesn't even let me take off sometimes.
When lowering the sliders it does and I can fly for a while before it crashes. I even manage to land sometimes before the computer's beep beep warning of OOM drives me crazy and crashes.
I hate to use it in FSX, it definitely crashes it, OOM!!! I have an I7-600, 1 Tera HHD, 8 Gigas ram, a GForce GTX 750, and the scenery crashes FSX despite it is built for it. When I use it in P3D it is definitely my favarite place for flying, a beauty. I'm going to just add my two cents as best as I can.
In the past I had purchased DRZEWIECKI DESIGN products for FSX, and it was a mix bag. In one hand, Miami was good enough to use, but NYC was terrible. So, to say the least that I was very hesitant to every buy one of their products again, was a real understatement. However, I've moved on from FSX and all it's problems, and I'm now running P3Dv3.
Being born in NYC, I was really looking for something that would really represent my town, and do so in a good way. I gave this company a 2nd carefull look at what they have put out for NYC, and this time around I'm surprisingly pleased to say that they have come a long way.
Is it perfect? No, but then again I said I was looking for something good, not perfect that would do my city some justice. You may still need to scale down, or tweat very little to get this city to run well, but it's way better than before, and lets face it, no one else out there has dared to tackle NYC since Aerosoft.
DRZEWIECKI DESIGN has listen to their customers, and I think they have taken it as far as they can to give you the eye candy you expect as a New Yorker, without killing your frame rates. Have they won me over again as a customer, and will I buy another product from this company again? My specs: Prepar3d v3. I7 [email protected],GTX660, 256Gb single SSD. An average Flightsim-rig with the latest P3D + Active Sky Next with average cloud coverage. Autogen@normal, all other@ very high. (not max) Flew it with a trike over Manhattan @ 22fps fluid and soft with an occasional texture block flicker.
Exceptional views from 700ft all the way from the statue of liberty to central park. Colors, buildings, docks. It's all really impressive. Took a dive to 200ft and shot along Broadway southbound @ 15fps smooth and nice between the highrises. Textures at this range are a bit blurry and skewed, but still outstanding considering the massive number of buildings we are talking about here. Next test was to take my Aerosoft A319 (a pretty system-heavy, but not quite PMDG style aircraft) from KJFK and flew over south Manhattan at 3000 ft eastbound.
Absolutely marvelous watching the view! The best rendition of NYC I have ever seen! This time at about 20fps, butter smooth = good enough for me. Never any OOMs, load delays or stutters.
Note that this is P3dV3, which handles these things a lot better than previous versions. I had big doubts when running this scenery in its previous version at my old FSX.
But now, with DD having a tremendous job at optimizing and tuning the scenery for v2, and running it in the P3DV3 Environment, this is great great stuff. I never write reviews, but being from New York and seeing this stunning scenery just couldn't resist the opportunity. I still use the old clunky FSX Sp2 (although optimized and heavily tweaked for performance) and was a bit apprehensive about buying due to some reviewers having problems with OOM and poor FPS. After careful consideration i decided to give it the V2 a chance.
I immediately disable FSDT JFK and just left Imagine sim LGA, and went for some circuit VAS shot up to 3.5 and descended to 2.5 after leaving the area. Seeing that it was some what near the OOM area i went ahead and install DX10 fixer and OMG, after installion and testing with PMDG, Imagines LGA and NYCv2 Vas never went up over 2.9 and FPS were a consistent 40+. Being a NY native i can say that the attention to detail is remarkable with the only draw back that some building at night aren't lit and that if your using it in FSX spy you must use dx10 or risk OOM but beside this small caveats scenery is definitely worth the purchase!! Big improvement over the previous version.
Using P3DV3 with PMDG 737 NGX with the following options, process explorer says it uses about 2.6 GBs of VAS. FXAA: Off MSAA: 4 Samples Texture Filtering: Anisotropic 16x Texture Resolution: Ultra 4096x4096 Terrain: Level of detail radius: High Tessellation Factor: High Mesh resolution: 5m Texture resolution: 7cm Scenery Objects: Scenery complexity: Extremely Dense Autogen vegetation density: Extremely Dense Autogen building density: Extremely Dense Aviatin Traffic: airline traffic density: 20 General aviation traffic density: 20 Airport Vehicle density: None Land and Sea Traffic: Road vehicle: 10 Ships and Ferries: 20 Leisure Boats: 20. What an amazing piece of software. I lived in the big apple for 20 years, and although I don't live there anymore, I go there every now and then. The attention to detail is simply amazing. I owned the previous version and although I did not have much performance issues, for this new version it runs smooth as silk! Love it, I fly with the trike and with the chopper and is just as taking a stroll down the big apple.
Love the detail they placed on the heliports, amazing! If you don't know if it will cause issues, best try the demo first, they are nice enough for them to give customers the chance. Once you get the demo you will see that this is amazing work. If you fly with a private jet, the immersion factor is truly remarkable. And with my PMDG 777, I prefer to take the visual to KJFK. No OOM or any performance issues. DD masterpiece!
I bought this scenery from the developer directly. It’s optimized well indeed. So far I didn't notice any OOMs and my fps seems to be at a decent level, even with Aerosoft A320 or PMDG B738, but I also need to mention that my simulator’s settings are adjusted / tuned to each scenery and conditions (especially graphic / traffic settings and cloud layers). Both building and ground textures are satisfactorily sharp and good-looking. The whole scenery also blends with NY Airports by Drzewiecki Design perfectly. Especially I like night lighting and attention to details (harbours, ships, etc.). In addition, if we consider a very attractive price I can recommend it without any doubts.

A very detailed scenery of the beautiful airport of the capital of Chile, AMB. This version includes a very accurate and thorough recreation of this airport. It includes the super detailed, redesigned terminal buildings, control tower, airtower beacon and main hangars; adding numbered and moving jetways, parking marks, cargo and commercial area hangars and refrigeration facilities, as well as ground surfaces, aerocardalhangar for private flights, and a detailed hangars of military chilean air force Ramp and other installations. All whit night textures.
It also includes a photoreal scenery of santiago city.
